The Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the carbon steel tubes used for civil enginering, architecture, steel towers, scaffoldings, struts, piles for suppression of landslide and other structures. Tubes shall be classified into 5 grades. (STK290, STK400, STK490, STK500, STK540)
